Backstage at V Festival with Mahiki Bar

Beyoncé, Kings of Leon and Emeli Sandé are leading the pop roost at this year’s V Festival at Hylands Park and Weston Park. But backstage is ruled by the Mahiki Coconut Backstage Bar and Red Carpet’s trawl reveals the weekend’s shenanigans so far – in pictures. Sat Bal (18 Aug’13)

What...

Mahiki Coconut created a Tiki Wonderland for V’s VIPs where guests sipped Mahiki Coconut Liqueur cocktails in the tropical backdrop.

Who...

Tulisa (pictured above with Mutya Buena), Pixie Lott, David Gandy and Paloma Faith (headline pic) mingled with Zara Martin, Laura Whitmore , Jade Williams and Cara Delevingne . Keith Lemon turned up undercover in a long brown wig and beard but was soon outed. No disguise though for One Direction's Niall Horan.

Gossip...

The Limbo Challenge allowed guests to get down and frivolous; Pixie Lott (below) shoved boyfriend  Oliver Cheshire to demonstrate how it should be done. Following this feat she partied on with her mum.

But there was no bar experience for Kelly Brook when her ex Thom Evans took up position – and stayed there for the duration.

A heavily photographed Tulisa swanned around in high street wear and designer jewellery while David Gandy maintained high street sporting Clarks shoes at the festival. Pixie Lott stayed designer with a pair of vintage Moschino shorts.

Elsewhere Paloma Faith shared her fitness regime with us: Barry’s Bootcamp three times a week.

Business...

The brand positioning event sees Mahiki expecting to serve 6,000 coconuts, 6,000 pineapples and more than 9,000 bottles of Mahiki Coconut Liqueur over the weekend! Guests drank Mahiki Coconut cocktails: Mahiki Coconut Grenade (served in a coconut), Mahiki Coconut Colada (served in a pineapple) and Coconut Slush. Mahiki Coconut is now stocked by selected Tesco stores, House of Fraser (online and in-store) and Sefridges.

Diageo, the global leader in premium drinks, is behind Mahiki Coconut’s of Caribbean Rum, fine spirits and real coconut. The 21% vol liqueur emerged from London’s famous Mahiki club, part of luxury lifestyle company Brompton Brands whose portfolio includes Whisky Mist and The Rose Club.
