Secret Garden Party art bursary

The Secret Garden Party 2011 is set to play host to a myriad of sensual delights with Blondie leading the stage charge. With the musical and artistic offerings continuing to stack up the Red Carpet team are already hard pressed to decide what will be their Secret Garden highlight this year. Abigail Parkin searches out her warpaint (18 April 11).

The Secret Garden Party is the UK’s most radically independent and inspiring Arts and Music festival. As ever, every corner of the Garden will be alive with interactive art for revellers to get involved with and be wowed by. Secret Garden Party’s artistic nooks create the magical wonderland atmosphere that brings partygoers back every year.

In 2010, the concept of setting art free from the gallery was whole-heartedly embraced, and brought some of the finest contemporary artists from around the Globe. This year the bar has been raised. A competition has been launched, with a £1,000 bursary through Saatchi Arts & Music on offer to help artists create unique installations.
