Sirio Ristorante to open at The Pierre, New York

Sirio Ristorante is named after restaurateur Sirio Maccioni and designed by Adam D. Tihany. It opens as the sister restaurant to Sirio Ristorante at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The network  of the Maccioni Group of restaurants includes Le Cirque and Circo.

The restaurant is Adam D. Tihany’s eighth collaboration with Sirio Maccioni and its classic ‘Italian ristorante’ layout is complemented by a 14-seat bar featuring Italian cocktails and Crudo bar.

‘Sirio Ristorante is my chance to offer diners an opportunity to experience the cuisine that my family and I enjoy while dining throughout Italy,’ said Sirio Maccioni. ‘I’m looking forward to returning to The Pierre and sharing this part of my heritage with New Yorkers and visitors alike.

Heiko Kuenstle general manager of The Pierre commented: ‘It is an honour to be able to partner with Sirio Maccioni and his family on this project. They are the perfect addition to this legendary hotel and the neighbourhood.’

Executive chef, Filippo Gozzoli takes charge of the kitchen and put his 20 years of expertise
into contemporary and seasonal Italian cuisine. Signature dishes will include risotto alla pizzaiola (risotto made with five different tomato varieties topped with fresh burrata and pantelleria capers) and spaghetto grezzo alla carbonara di mare (spaghetti carbonara with seafood). The Italian dessert list features delights such as chocolate hazelnut crunch mousse with salted hazelnuts, coconut sorbet and candied lemon and ravioli dolci (orange and saffron ravioli with white chocolate mousse accompanied. 

The wine list carries approximately 250 varieties of Italian, American and global wines as well as Sirio Maccioni’s own private label wines.
