Bentley’s Finnishing School at Power on Ice

Searching for adventure and automotive luxury? Then fly to the Finnish resort of Ruka Peak next month for Bentley’s annual ‘Power on Ice’ event. The Bentley Continental GT3-R makes its debut at the event debut bringing track and road prowess to the ice. Sat Bal (27 Jan’15)

Power on Ice takes enthusiasts to northern Finland on the edge of the Arctic Circle where Bentley Continentals cars are sped around the frozen lakes in a genuine winter wonderland. Prices start at €11,340 per person and only 18 driving places are offered per group, so that drivers get plenty of time behind the wheel.

At the time of writing January dates had all sold out leaving only availability on four more slots: Sunday 15 Feb until the end of the month.  Once again attendees get the chance to learn advanced driving techniques under the tutelage of four-time World Rally Champion Juha Kankkunen.

Best of all, participants will get an unprecedented first drive in Bentley’s most dynamic and powerful luxury road car ever: the Continental GT3-R, pictured above.

Naturally, high-end hospitality is a hallmark of the Power of Ice events and the four-day adventure invites guests to relax in the exclusive Ruka Peak resort. The resort is just 60 km from the edge of the Arctic Circle and offers luxuriously appointed hotel and private chalet accommodation options. Expect a vista of some of the finest, unbroken views of Finland’s spectacular winter scenery. Open fires, saunas, first-class local dining await. Activities include snowmobiling and a night time husky sled adventure. Guests can also enjoy a traditional Finnish smoke sauna and dinner at an historic reindeer farm.
