Cannes Film Festival ‘13 on Red Carpet

17th May  - Livia and Colin Firth (pic above) hosted this eco-friendly dinner and drinks reception supported by Johnnie Walker Blue Label. The event was for Livia Firth’s charitable organisation, EcoAge, and guests aboard the John Walker & Sons Voyager yacht ensured it was a chic affair.

The Firths welcomed guests including Nicole Kidman whose new film sees her play the princess consort of Monaco. Also on board were Harvey WeinsteinBryan Ferry, Laura Bailey and Mariella Frostrup to celebrate the Green Carpet Challenge in Cannes and , Livia’s venture into sustainable businesses.

 In fine fettle, Weinstein quipped “I can’t believe Livia spent all day cooking this incredible feast!” to the amusement of the guests. joined the soiree later in the evening.

Silence party

16th May  – It was on board the John Walker & Sons Voyager yacht for a cocktail party to celebrate the announcement of the new Martin Scorsese film Silence’. Star wattage came in the form of  Leonardo DiCaprio who took time out from his hectic hawking of The Great Gatsby. Father George DiCaprio and stepmother Peggy Ann Farrar joined the party to make it a family affair.

Martin Scorsese personally greeted the assembly for supporting his new blockbuster. Later it was Johnnie Walker Blue Label cocktails all round, specially created by master blender Tom Jones (no, not that one!).

Scorsese went straight over to the flat-capped DiCaprio on arrival and chatted as only mentor and  protégé can.

Bryan Ferry BMG Johnnie Walker party

15th May - The Ferry family boarded the John Walker & Sons Voyager yacht in honour of Ferry senior’s jazz contribution to Cannes opener The Great Gatsby. Siblings Otis, Isaac and Tara joined  Bryan’s wife Amanda.

Isaac Ferry hosted an intimate dinner for his family and friends before watching his belt out a live performance. From showstopping to shoestopping, friend of the family, Christian Louboutin dropped by wearing a pair of diamond-tasselled loafers while PPQ designer Percy Parker danced Charleston dance to the live Bryan Ferry Orchestra.
