Capital Summertime Ball

The longest day of summer shone on some seven hours of live music at yesterday’s Capital Summertime Ball. Abigail Parkin (22 Jun’14)

Around 80,000 people streamed into Wembley Stadium to watch a line-up that included Pharrell, Jessie J, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Ella Henderson, The Vamps, Kiesza, Union J, Enrique Iglesias and Calvin Harris. Sam Smith failed to make the stage after falling reportedly losing his voice close to his scheduled appearance time. Still, David Guetta was there and his set had them all on their feet as he closed the show leaving the party mood hanging in the air.
