House of Marley sponsors Isle Of MTV


House of Marley will be the official pan-European sponsor of MTV’s Isle of MTV event, set to take place on June 25th 2014 in Malta with a host of international music stars in prospect. Abigail Parkin (12 Feb’14)

House of Marley is the audio and lifestyle products company launched by the family of Bob Marley and the sponsorship deal was negotiated by Be Viacom, VIMN’s in-house brand solutions sales division. The Marley brand is set to be the beneficiary of an integrated marketing campaign which will create an on-air and digital presence across all MTV platforms including a dedicated Isle of MTV microsite, editorial and social media competition plus local branding and marketing on the ground in Malta.

A ‘Mobile Marley’ boom-box will help drive promotion and brand interaction in and around Malta ahead of the show. The mobile boom-box, laden with Marley products, will take the brand directly to the music fans in Malta.

 Isle of MTV is MTV’s largest outdoor music event and its partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) now sees a renewed and improved three-year partnership as the collaboration heads into its eighth consecutive year.  

In June, Floriana’s historic Il-Fosos Square will attract some 50,000 music fans from all over Europe. Past artists have ranged from Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas to Snoop Dogg.

The open-air concert features live performances, which will be filmed and edited into a 60-minute special that will be broadcasted across 20 MTV channels throughout Europe.

 Artists for the show will be announced in the coming months.
