Join Geneva’s Jet Set in Canary Wharf

A 20-metre replica of Geneva’s famous Jet d’Eau fountained among Canary Wharf’s community this morning in the waters of Middle Dock. Tweet-alerted on Red Carpet yesterday, here are the event images . Abigail Parkin (24 Apr’14)

Volunteers queued to jump onto a power bike and start the mini Jet D’Eau, cycling to keep the fountain’s water pressure up.

The event was hosted by Geneva Tourism to encourage visitors to jet off and experience the diversity of the Swiss city.

Participants with the longest cycle times had the incentive of winning ‘an Amazing Weekend in Geneva’ covering flights and VIP airport transfers, exhilarating water sports on Lake Geneva, a boat fishing trip, relaxing urban spa, wine and chocolate tasting, own Swiss Knife design, and – the ultimate - the chance to turn on the real Jet d’Eau!
