Don’t believe all you read about the internet sapping print publishing creativity. Kitchen Sink Publishing is release a lavish new book featuring 80s pop icon Boy George. Kings of Queens is billed as “the official, definitive legacy edition of a stunning new coffee table book” and will retail at £499. Abigail Parkin (19 Sept 11)

The publisher sold out of a similar project on John Lydon and hopes to do the same withKings of Queens’s which charts the colourful journey of Boy George’s life.

The title is limited to 999 books, each individually numbered, signed and certificated. Each 18”x12” book includes a 10” picture disc vinyl, hand-built into the back cover. Its contents include unheard and unreleased material from over the years and unseen personal photos, illustrations and rare memorabilia.

Fans will cherish the book’s unique centrefold spread, personalised by Boy George himself. Connoisseurs will be struck by the quarter bound luxury litho finish, hand sewn and presented in a silkscreen printed cloth-bound clamshell case, featuring embossed blocking and gold leaf finishing.
