Sir Nick Nails Knight Fever

Revellers who like it intimate should head to club veteran Nick House’s new venture, Rusty Nail. Here the select few can sip super-premium whiskies and cocktails with fellow thinkers and drinkers in  house party mode. Sat Bal Page (4 Jun’14)

Billed as a sister nightclub to Whisky Mist, Rusty Nail’s ‘club within a club’ features hidden whisky cellars set in a medieval-style castle. Expect church candles, distressed wallpaper and old whisky barrels illumined by neon light and contemporary art.

Rusty Nail’s name (from the cocktail made from whisky and Drambuie) sets the tone for an array of drinks: Rusty Wolf, Mystic Aroma and Melon Bees. The club’s DJs blend electro, disco and 80s funk and rock music to keep the private party atmosphere charged. And add a tapestry of dancers and performers including knights clad in armour and damsels in distress.

Rusty Nail’s sibling club Whisky Mist has been in the vanguard of London nightlife for five years. It has recently undergone a full refurbishment, medieval castle-style with stained glass windows, chain mail suits and intimate candlelit alcoves. So depart from Mayfair where Whisky Mist and Rusty Nail will navigate you to yesteryear. Tonight...
