Waldorf Astoria makes Bali Indonesian debut

Waldorf Astoria’s first property in Indonesia is set to open in 2017 the exclusive Bukit Pandawa precinct in the south of Bali. Abigail Parkin (10 Apr’14)

The announcement follows Hilton Worldwide’s signing of a new management agreement with PT. Bali Ragawisata. The 96-villa Waldorf Astoria Bali is to offer cliff-front views land of the Indian Ocean from Bali’s southernmost peninsula.

The resort, which is approximately 10 kilometres away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport, lies in an exclusive enclave of luxury villas. Designed by SCDA Architects, Waldorf Astoria Bali offers guests one-bedroom to six-bedroom suite villas and will feature two specialty restaurants and a destination bar.

It will also comprise an outdoor event lawn, event courtyard and a business centre along with .  an outdoor sea-facing pool with a beach club. The exclusivity continues with an 8,000sqm private beach and a health club and spa.

The announcement makes Waldorf Astoria Bali the brand’s second luxury property in Southeast Asia, joining Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
